I've been very tempted. If I could just smoke at work, I could justify it. But cannot otherwise.

Yeah I have a 6 bottle cooler that is nice. If you enjoy wine, you need one!

I looked into this little guy a lot and I found the following
rather than spending $55 shipped for a refurb from woot that several people have had show up DOA you can buy a brand new one from Buy.com for $60 shipped any day of the week.
just wanted to let you all know before you feel like you have to pull the trigger soon.

Thanks! that does remove the time constraints...
UPDATE: !!!!!
dear lord, I was going to buy one (to put wine in), then I read this........
http://reviews.bestbuy.com/3545/8390582/reviews.htm
Any possibility that the defect is FIXED in the refurbs on w00t and they could be more reliable than a new one from buy.com?

6 bottle is all I need... how much did you pay for it? $50 is about the most I'll spend :P
ALSO looks like the solution for many of the Oster problems is just a simple 5A fuse soldered into the circuit board. if you're handy with a soldering gun, you can fix it easily.

I would like to toss in my input on small 6 bottle vinotemps. I purchased one from a guy on Ebay, and got it on Monday. It's under 50 dollars shipped, and mine was brand new, not a scratch and dent.

I am in no affiliation with this fellow, and didn't even notice he was local until after it shipped.
Ebay Link-6 bottle Vinotemp
I needed something small for my dorm room that was climate controlled and this did the trick. My shelves are being made as we speak.

Nice Set up "EC"

My friends:
I DO NOT recommend a 12 bottle wine fridge. That's what I started with.
They are indeed tiny, especially when you add your humidification device.
Also, I had TERRIBLE condensation problems.
Save your dough and get a 28. Trust me.
:-)

I think the problem has been availability of 28's at a good price.

For standard retail sales about the best is CompactAppliance.com
Keep an eye on their site, they change the prices and sales often.
Most of the time shipping is free.
Right now the EdgeStar TWR282S is $220.15 out the door delivered.
