All Cigar Discussion>Famous Nic 3000 bundle?????
BamBam 06:18 PM 05-28-2009
Just had my second one tonight and it was fantastic. I found it to be full bodied. I tasted mint in both sticks and found it pretty complex. I normally don't care for a full bodied smoke but it was fantastic.

I loved it so much that I went to Famous to look into buying a bundle. The website says the bundles are no longer available. Anyone know why???

I know they have 5 packs but I was more interested in the bundle...free shipping on the bundle.

Is this permanent or have they done this before until they replenish their stock?

Thanks fellas

They'll come around again.

I agree they are pretty good for a bundle smoke. After about a year I get a lot of coco and coffee notes out of 'em.

I just went to the Famous Site and some Bundles are available toros and torpedos, some of the singles aren't though. Unless you are talking about something else (robustos),

As a bundle smoker, I've had a lot of experience with "cheaper" sticks. The Famous Nic 3000 is probably one of...if not, the....best bundle stick out there. Or at least they used to be, I haven't had one in about a year. I had to stop getting them...I loved them so much I smoked too many and my tongue felt like it was suing for separate maintenance. :-)

After only 3 months rest their complexity really comes out as well. What also is strange is how well they are constructed.

I love them and I'll be picking up a couple bundles once my vino comes in.

The original release of the N3K was unfrigginbelievable - hopefully they are staying somewhat close to the original blend.....

The OR Famous Nic 3000's are one of my top 5 sticks of all time. The new ones are about 90% close to what the old ones were. They are still very good. I usually prefer fresh sticks, but if you can wait around 6 months at a higher RH, these become really chocolaty and smooth.

Yeah sorry. I have only had the robustos so I was sticking with them.

Are the Torpedos pretty much identical in flavor profile?

This line has VERY good blend consistency and continuity, throughout all the sizes.

Quite possibly my favorite NC, and ranks right up there with my favorite CCs.

:-)

I fully agree with borndead. I find because of the box press I get a better burn with the Torp's, but that may just be in my mind. Can't really go wrong with any of the sizes.

I think they are good, but quite harsh when young. If you let them sit for a year, they become a really great cheap smoke. When available, I highly recommend getting a few bundles and letting them sit.
