All Cigar Discussion>Eating While Smoking?
Flynnster 02:14 PM 08-12-2011
Now I'm not talking about a full meal, but today me and a friend were enjoying some cigars, and I walked past a bag of banana chips, looked good, so I took them out. Man did those go great with my 8-5-8! I would just grab one occasionally.

What about everyone else? Anyone have a go to munchie while smoking?

Chocolate, nuts, and cookies are all great with a smoke.

I've actually enjoyed a cigar with a full meal- it just has to be the right kind of pairing. I've had success with English pub fare (fish and chips, etc.) and ale.

Bacon Explosion, at Shack, with pretty much any cigar. Sorry guys I've got Shack Herf on the brain.

Not a fan of eating and smoking -- I find that a cigar with or immediately after any food intake just isn't flavorful at best and downright nasty at worst. The exception? Chocolate.

I feel the same way about most beverages and cigars too.

If you haven't had chocolate cake and nicaraguan coffee with an Oliva Blue Band O, you haven't lived. :-)

I like cigars, I like eating, I like drinking...how could they not go well together? That said, definitely depends on what you are eating or drinking.

Don't laugh... when I first started, I was smoking an Erin go Bragh. We had a bowl of jelly beans on the table, so I grabbed a handful. Damn, that was a good pairing.

Chocolate cake and coffee goes with almost anything, before - after - during. It's a combination of the age's!

Steak, lobster, Lake Erie perch, BBQ, brats, burgers, oysters, clams....I've had at all. When the food is ready, and the cigars is good and only half done...well, I ain't putting it out. :-)

I don't mind snacking on something while smoking a cigar. Though I don't usually like to eat something too sweet or too spicy/peppery cuz I rather taste the cigar more than the food.

Lounge I go to has a yummy snack mix but it's a little too spicy. Then again, it depends on the cigar sometimes. If I have a creamy smooth light cigar, I might eat some of the mix just to offset it. But again, I'd rather taste the cigar than food.

I should get more into chocolate. Had some with a cigar last weekend and it went great with it.
