So, we're thinking of taking a cruise and i know most cruises now just have outdoor smokers areas (boo!) but are there any more cruise lines that have lounges or bars? I know some allow indoor smoking in the casinos as well which is nice but that's hardly a quiet relaxing time. I'm sure some of you have been on cruises with cigar lounges and how were they? I know EVERYTHING is overpriced but i wouldn't plan on buying directly from them just hang out with my own supply. Any experience would be helpful from you all. thank you! God bless you all!

Never been on a cruise for the same reason, my only "irrational" fears. I don't want to be on a boat where I can't see land in ANY direction.

Oh yeah, and the ****in' sharks. :-)

I put "Holland America smoking policy" into google and got this as the first link.

https://www.hollandamerica.com/blog/...-on-hal-ships/

So at least they have indoor, but not in-cabin.

oops.

"Cigar and pipe smoking is permitted on the outside decks only."

https://hollandamerica.cruiselines.c...g_policies.cfm

Never trust the interwebby.

I have been fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, and I could not see land in ANY direction.
Caught a real purdy goliath grouper.....
It was my BIL's boat and he was pretty inexperienced at the time.
Drinking 12 beers helped...

I haven't been on a cruise since the virus hit but I can give you my experience up to a couple of years ago.

Carnival has forced smokers outside to one or two designated deck areas. It can get mighty hot outside, or cold, or really windy. Carnival used to have nice cigar lounges but did away with them so as not to offend the sensibilities of non-smokers.

Celebrity places smokers on the same level as lepers. Nowadays they may just toss smokers overboard, who knows. :-)

NCL was the best, within their limits. The limits being cigar lounges. Some ships had them and some didn't. On ships with them, the lounges were quite nice. On ships without them, it's the outside designated deck area for you. And where the lounges used to be the domain of cigar aficionados, now they've become the refuge of cigarette smokers.

Not sure if this info is still current or not. I'd assume most lines have the designated areas that Carnival uses and where smokers are tolerated but not really welcome.

Thank you guys for the info. My ultimate goal is to go to a La Casa Del Habano and that's about it. I was hoping there might be a cigar friendly cruise line but it looks like it's few and far between right now. I do not need to smoke cigars to have a good time but it would've been nice to have one or two with a nice lounge. God bless you all!

I have as well Brother, all day deep sea fishing out of Clearwater. Last time I was maybe 14, I think that helped. :-)

I have been on a Cruises quite a few times but not in many many years. I know there are a good amount that do have cigars lounges on board. Here is a list but I would call to confirm as this was 2019 (Lots have been converted and most evenings you will find people smoking cigars up on the pool deck around the bar)

The Holland America Line’s cruise ship Noordam provides the Oak Room for cigar and pipe smokers only.

Cunard’s offers Churchill’s comfortable cigar lounge on Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, and the Queen Victoria. Both Cuban and Dominican cigars are available for purchase.

The MSC Divina has a large beautiful cigar lounge with comfortable seating, large windows, and a bar where you can purchase your favorite beverage to enjoy while you smoke.

Royal Caribbean offers the Connoisseur Club on the Freedom of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas for their cigar-smoking guests.

Norwegian Cruise Lines provides its guest on the Bliss, Joy, Escape, Getaway, and Epic ships with a Humidor room to enjoy their cigars. You can purchase cigars in the lounge.

Princess Cruise lines has a Churchill’s lounge where guests can relax and enjoy premium cigars in comfort.

Regent Seven Seas has a Connoisseur Club, which is a cigar and cognac lounge. Once the ship is in international waters, Cuban cigars are also available.

Crystal also offers a comfortable Connoisseur Club for cigars and cognac where you can purchase premium brands.

Silversea’s Connoisseur Corner invites guests to enjoy cigars and cognac while seated in very comfortable low-slung leather chairs.

I've been on several Norwegian cruises where they had a dedicated lounge with a humidor, as several folks pointed out above. The lounges are nice, but I always bring my own cigars as the selection is limited and overpriced.

Check out the Disney cruise line - the Dream and Fantasy boats have the Meridian Lounge. Excellent areas for smoking a cigar. :-)

On a boat, surrounded by fish, and you cannot fish? The temptation is present all over, but you cannot? Sounds like hell to me.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Would seem like the European brands may be more apt to have accommodations for cigar smokers.

Funny Story About My Last Cruise Many Years Ago. Had An Outside Deck Room And Smoked A Cigar Or Two Every Day There. The Lady Next Door Chain Smoked Cigarettes, But Every Time I Lit Up A Cigar, She Would Say, "Ewwww, Somebody's Smokin' A Cigar"!:-):-). Hope You Find A Cigar-Friendly Cruise, Jason!:-)

The Inside Lounges Worked Better For Me, Too. At Least Everyone There Enjoys Cigar Smoke & You're Very Comfortable With Food & Beverages Close By.:-):-)

I forgot to mention that about the NCL lounges. They're all right next to a bar and a lot of times if the staff isn't swamped they'll come into the lounge to take drink orders.

These were taken five years ago onboard the NCL Pearl. The cigar lounge on the Pearl is typical of NCL, at least on the ships that offer them. Not all their ships have them.

Thank you guys for the info! I really don't know why they don't cater to cigar smokers more on cruise ships as cigars and cruising goes hand in hand but what do i know? God bless you all!
