I used to collect baseball cards-stopped in the late 80's as there got to be too many sets. Now I collect a few first edition books. And I have a bunch of cigar bands:-)

So, you like the civil war. I enjoy reading about that period. My cousin wrote a book about the young kids in the war. Too Young to Die. He is a huge CW buff-does the re-enactments and all.

I used to collect game worn NHL jerseys, but I just sold my last one this week. Had over 100 at one point.

I did collect coins for about he last 16 years or so... but recently I have become a bit bored with that hobby and have started selling a bunch of them off... I will probably go back when I get a bit closer to retirement, but for now I just can't justify the cost...

Bet your house smells a whole lot better now :-)

I used to be big into baseball cards, memorabilia, and autographs; kind of collect art and crystal; horde books; collect certain first editions; dabbled in coins; firearms; pipes; wine; decanters; chess sets; nerdy historical stuff; and just lately started collecting ephemera from some of my grandfather's old casinos.

Edit to add: could easily get really into pens and watches, just afraid of the extra resource drain and time commitment--so I'm starting off slowly with these.

Damn addictive personality.

Watches - mostly mechanical automatic Japanese watches, but I have a couple Swiss ones too. Haven't had the funds to buy a new watch in 5 years though.
Cameras - 35mm film cameras from the 30's - 80's, rangefinders and SLRs, mostly a Nikon and Retina ho. Can't swing Leica collecting yet.
Anything related to WWII - History nut and reenactor, so I have a lot of stuff related to this.
My wife might try to claim I collect fishing rods/reels/lures, but I certainly don't think of those things as "collecting". It's just stuff you have to buy to use for what you like to do (kinda like cigars!).

Me, too, but all kinds and from about the turn of the last century. Have about 400. One of the benefits of living in Rochester, NY (home to Eastman Kodak) is that they are everywhere.

Also:

Military bring-back firearms
US stamps 1900-2000
Military uniforms
27th Division memorabilia/militaria

My wife says I collect collections.

All sorts of stuff over the years. Coins, baseball cards, nautical stuff (I have an old school authentic US Navy Mark V diving helmet from the 30s :-)), model ships, and debt.
