No Bells? That's a crime. Hopslam is the best double IPA I've ever had.

How much better than FFF Dreadnaught?

By a small margin. Hopslam is very unique because of the honey. Dreadnaught or Arctic Panzer may be 2 and 3 for me. Double Trouble is also up there.

Honestly Bill, I'd take a fresh pour of Dreadnaught at the Three Floyds pub over Hopslam any day of the week. I love FFF's brewpub.

No Bell's - I think the closest was PA or something when I looked before.
No Founders in NH. Apparently in VT which is just a few miles away but I haven't figured out where to get it yet.
:-)
To make myself feel better I was looking at Binnys, hoping to see that they didn't have some of the breweries closer to here like Smuttynose or Clown Shoes. But no such luck, they have it all
:-)
Well, they don't have Rock Art. I've only had the Vermonster - it was pretty good, not the best thing ever though.

Try the rock art black moon, and the ESBsquared is good too.

Have you tried this years Surly Abrasive yet? Had one back to back with a Double Trouble the other day and the Abrasive was quite a bit better. Haven't had the pleasure of trying this years Hopslam yet.

I almost always prefer the cask (firkin) version of a beer.

Can't argue that, just was saying I preferred it to Double Trouble.

Abrasive is good, but I have to be in the mood for a malty double IPA. My friend has family in MN, so whenever he goes there he always brings back Surly.

I had the pleasure of cask Hopslam and Expedition Stout last year and both were most excellent.

I was going to grab some Hopslam but saw these.
Bomber of Boris the Crushed and Boris the Destroyer.
And a few bombers of Three Floyds Behmoth Barleywine.
:-) (one of my favorite Barleywines)
