Yep, after trying both I think the Backwoods suits me better. The Curmudgeon wasn't bad but I preferred the profile of the Backwoods.

With all this talk of Founder's, I broke down and splurged on a 6pack of Porter. :-)

Finally got to have one of my favorite beers Conway's Irish Ale, from the Great Lakes brewery in Cleveland. It's only available around St. Pattys day, so I got to drink up.

HopSlam is still available where you are? How much are your sixers there? They are freaking $22 here.

And they limit it to one per person. It's a store that has never marked anything up to my knowledge, but I figured it may have been a first for them. That, or the price rose $5 or so this year (possible).

$22 is way too much for Hopslam. Never even payed close to that in the Phoenix area,...
Sauer Grapes 10:31 AM 02-20-2010
How much is it in your area? I wonder if there is a tax difference.
hornitosmonster 11:04 AM 02-20-2010
Hopslam is about $14-$15 in Phoenix (Total win).
Sauer Grapes 11:15 AM 02-20-2010
Yeah, this is total wine that was charging $22.

Hmmm... I wonder why? They charged $18 or so last year IIRC, which could easily be explained by tax when compared to $15.

Just picked up a 12 of the magic hat vinyl. Wishful thinking calling it a spring release for Vermonters in February. Good brew.

Drinking a Surly Furious and grilling some burgers and chicken on the grill. It's not spring yet, but I'm ready!

Picked up a few new ones this past week. Bluegrass Brewing Company American Pale Ale and Christian Moerlein Over-the-Rhine Ale. :-)

Both are local and very tasty :-)

Went to a local pub, and drank 4 pitchers of Lake Placid Ubu Ale, with friends. Can't ask for a better evening.

Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. This is one of my favorites.
