I walked by a used watch store today at City Hall stop in Singapore (some good indian restaurants in the food mall) and they must've had 20+ Patek's in the window. Aquanaut, Nautilus, complications, you name it. I kind of kicked myself for not buying the Aquanaut over my IWC. At the time they were similarly priced, but fast forward 15 years the Patek would've increase 3x as much as the cost. The IWC is worth about 1.25 what I paid, but I could've owned a Patek!

Rolex's, this one store had about 150+ on display from current models and on; all pre owned. That is just one store and not in a fancy area either.

Not sure you buddy's budget, but I had planned on selling it once it comes back from them. He'll be hard pressed to find this watch in perfect certified condition anywhere... I want to get about $2600 which is quite fair.
His budget is about $800 to $900 and yes that watch is a killer watch and a fair price for a certified perfect. Makes me wish I had the funds.

I love this watch. I'm really picky about watches, there are very few (especially very few inexpensive ones) that really do much for me.
I really like this watch as well, and it is probably in my price range lol. Looking to get my first "nice" watch.

looking to pick up a budget watch in the $120-$150 price range. Something around 40mm because I have a small wrist. I have my eye on a PAM homage by Jackson Tse or a similar maker with a Seagull movement, a Seiko or an Orient.

I think I could find a style that would make me happy with either of my choices but what do you guys think would be the best choice as far as, accuracy (mechanical) and durability? This would be an everyday watch.

I'm aware that I'd probably have to buy a decent replacement strap for the PAM so I've factored in the cost of that. Would sapphire glass be a must have upgrade?

this isn't bad. There's something about the Seiko diver watches that just doesn't do it for me. I know they are decent watches for the money. I'm wondering how the Orient will stack up and if the PAM homages are even remotely comparable for durability and accuracy. The latter might be out of the running simply because the 40mm versions all seem to be cheap looking.

Very nice! I've had the itch for a GMT lately, just not the cash for any that catch my eye

I'd like to get a GMT too. I need a 2nd time zone but I want a GMT 24 hour hand; not digital read out like I get on my Omega X-33

I have always liked those. I gotta ask one thing though. Why do you shave your arms?

Dang that thing's a monster, pun intended.

I've always liked this line from Seiko, but haven't picked one up yet.

Actually bigger than the JSAR by about 2mm, but not as tall. Puts it about 48mm w/o the crown and 15mm tall, 24mm lugs. Sapphire crystal. 242 grams with bracelet. It is a chunk.
