Kind of spooky. All favorites in their respective wester series lost game three. All have then turned around to win games 4 and 5. Putting all in a 3-2 advantage.

Last night on the Yotes feed I heard Pantera Respect being played. They were playing that back in 99-00 there LoL.

Hawks killed off the last 4 minutes of the penalty to start OT, Hossa comes out of the box and scores the OT game winner a couple seconds later.

And anybody who said Brent Sopel was washed up just ain't thinkin' straight. :-)

Actually gocuba.ca , Jim. :-)

Congrats to the Sharks fans...I feel bad for Craig, but the Sharks proved they deserved to move on.

Condolences to Jim and the Sens fans, I really wanted to see them push Sid the Aquid to a Game 7.

Well, if the three Western teams leading 3-2 hold on to win their series, the best 4 teams in the West will be in the Semis, as it should be (my apologies to any Coyotes fans).

The Semis would shape up like this:

San Jose V. Detroit
Chicago V. Vancouver

Some good hockey coming up in the West! :-)

Good win by the Hawks. I just am on the fence about Hossa's hit. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets suspended for that.. Either way Nashville is done. Hawks should put them down in the next game.

Can't wait for Wings game :-) Looking for series clincher today :-)

Well, I can't say I expected more....but it was disappointing all the same. When Yip netted that one to give the Avs the lead in the 3rd I had high hopes.... But two goals in what seemed like 2 minutes later, Pavelski giving the Sharks the lead, it felt over with 10 minutes to go..... DAMMIT....I am still a little frustrated....

Not having Mueller the entire series, nor Hejduk the final three games didn't help....

Like I said, though fairly disappointed right now, but the Avs really gave me something to cheer about this season. They sure exceeded my expectations, which were probably higher than most.... The youngsters really stepped up and this was very good experience. Anderson was GREAT.

Congrats to your Sharks Mike.....

GO AVS 2010-11!

Absolutely. :-)

Avs have all kinds of young talent to go with Craig as well...they will be right back in the mix, and even improved, next season.

Not so fast Admiral! :-) 'Yotes showing a lot of heart in Detroit this afternoon. Should be a great game 7.

Never expected that, Joel! I said the other day that I thought the Wings would win Game 6 handily...Fail!

Convincing win for the 'Yotes.

For Game 7, Phoenix has momentum and home ice.

Detroit has vast experience in these type of games.

Home ice could add more pressure to a young team like the Coyotes, so I think that's a non-factor.

Momentum V. Experience......I am not even ready to make a prediction on this one.

Whew...I thought Colin would give him a game off.

I would say congrats to the Canucks, but I hate them. :-)

If the Hawks advance past the Preds, it will be Hawks V. Canucknuckleheads in the Semis. :-)

Can't say I saw that loss to the Yotes coming :-) I was very frustrated with the Wings yesterday. They just seemed very lethargic.. Onto game 7 :-)

I felt the same way when I watched the B's play on Friday. Just soft slow play.

the canucks take it and it was fairly expected.

I would like to say great series to the avs and their fans. The team was not expected to make the playoffs, but got in playing great hockey and with a few lucky bounces grabbed some wins. They capitalized on this to make the series very exciting. As they always say though you got to be god to be lucky and the Avs are a good young team. Also as I always say, in the end scoreboard. The Avs were in allbbut one game and deserved the 2 wins and could have easily won more. Bright future ahead of this franchise. I have every belief they will be back next year

That said Mcleoud is a friggin Dbag. Game five he pushes a Shark on to Nabbys back risking injury. Game 6 he goes out of his way to fall on Nabbys back again. That crap is dirty and bush and doesn't belong in the game even if you are losing.

The Hawks will advance Tom. Just as in the Sharks series I think it took a few scares for them to get it together.

as for the fourth series in the west, what can I say but what I have been saying all along. It's the players on the ice not the logo on the front of the sweater that wins the games. Anyone who thinks one of these teams is better then the other is a foolish. The series is officially a best of 1 and neither team has dominated the other. I would also like to point out that statistics showed the Sharks had never won a game 6 when leading a series 3-2 and another team which lost generally won. Of course that was primarily pre salary cap era. So I will say again how about we stop looking at old stats from teams that no longer exist.

looking for an awesome game 6 win from the Hawks and hoping for a shocking win for game 7. Well not shocking to me but I have been saying that all series
