Went down to LAPD with the old man so he could pick up another Glock. We now have a full family of .40's

Very nice! May I ask why you put those gun locks on your rifles?

We'd need to find an outdoor 100-300 yd range. We can call it the BAD ASHE Herf and Shoot. I'll bring some "interesting" fire power. We can chip in for bulk ammo.
Brents place would be great if we could light it up.
You're always welcome to come to my place to Herf. We'd get arrested for shooting downtown though.

Slows down thieves and sticky fingered children.
Since we moved, I've stored the majority of the rifles. The Man Cave, is now the "mini" Man Cave.
Sort of a Green Acers in reverse move.

I see! I keep mine in a safe. I never used the locks as I figured that if I needed to use a rifle around the house, I don't want to be messing around with taking a lock off.

OK, here goes my sales person schpeel. Go to a range with some buddies, or a take a class and learn how to shoot, I prefer taking a class.
Once you learn your safety and fundamentals try out a few different guns and
see what works best for you. All the firearms here that were mentioned are all good, but if you do not feel comfortable shooting one, what good does it do for you?
I've told this story before and it's worth mentioning again. I have seen two people walk into a gun store/range, both wanting to buy and rent glocks because of what they have seen and heard. They went to the range and tried a few different firearms; one ended up buying the Glock, the other a Sig.
Each person is going to be different. I'm a Sig guy, because I shoot better with them and they feel better in my hand. Do I own Glocks HELL YES, they are great firearms, but they don't feel good in my hand.
With all that said I use a Smith and Wesson 686 at home.

when I get back from vacation, we'll have to set something up for a smoke or two

There are too many for safes. That's not all of them. The room/basement (old home) that they were in was secure and alarmed.
I keep a .38 snub, Moss 590, and Glock 22 by the bed for "just" those special occasions.
Now that I live in the city, the Man Cave is now the mini Man Cave and 95% of my collection is in secure packed long term storage.

Yes we do. We need to hit the range and shoot the BAR. Plus I have two ARs that I need to get on paper @ 100 and 200

I've only shot indoors here. I've not had the time since I've moved to find a new range home. There has to be a range out too at least 200 yds within 50 miles though.
