Any Wheat Bourbon's Similar To Pappy's? I Like Cinnamon, So Maybe Four Roses Single Barrel 80 Proof? Thinking Of Picking Up Something "Sweet & Smooth" For The Family Gathering On Thanksgiving That We Can Drink Neat. Thanks!

Absolutely. It's not badly priced either.

Weller 12 if you can find it. It IS the Pappy 12 barrels that didn't quite make the cut. A friend in TX recently got some 1.75 bottles for $47 ea!

So What Would You Recommend To Take To The Family Thanksgiving That Would Be The Sweetest & Smoothest To Drink Neat? Woodford Reserve, Elmer T, 4 Roses, Or "Other"??? Thanks!
:-):-)

Woodford Reserve is my go to bourbon and is good choice for sweet and smooth. Eagle Rare, Four Roses Single Barrel and Evan Williams Single Barrel are also good choices.

Not that I have been keeping up with this but the four roses single barrel should fit the sweeter part of the bill. Im not a huge bourbon fan so cant say what would be smoother

I think Woodford would be the sweetest one of those you listed. Does it have to be bourbon?

Good choice, I found the Woodford Doubled Oaked on sale for $40 and just had to buy it.

I'm late to this party aren't I. Hopped on the bourbon bus last fall. I think I have 13 different bottles on my cabinet right now and have polished off 5 or so. I may have a problem

Picked up Woodford Reserve Double Oaked on a friend's recommendation last weekend, looks like it's a fairly popular one around here too. Very nice blend, lots of flavours that are parallel to the rums I enjoy

Has anybody heard of, or had Old Ripy? Comes in a 375ml bottle.

I just finished reading all 83 pages of this thread. seems to have tapered off. maybe we can get it kickstarted again.
Whats everyone liking these days?
When does the pappy collection & the BTAC get released this year? I would really like to try some of the options if I can get my hands on some.

Many of these bottles were recent gifts.
My favorites are Bulliet, Angels Envy, Four Roses Small batch.
I also really like the Bowman Brothers.

If you like Bowman Brothers then look for John T Bowman. Same distiller but a few bucks more. Much smoother.

To add a little to this. If you like the four roses small batch then you must try the single barrel by the same name.
