It does seal very well. The seals on each door are independent as there is a bar down the middle of the humi. The face of the surface on the body side is all metal and the surface on the door side is like the gasket of a refrigerator. The gasket part is strongly magnetized so it really pulls together.

I should probably post this here too:
just got a great deal off craigslist, 12ct thermoelectric wine cooler essentially brand new for $30 it is on top of my 28ct vino for reference. I think I will be making a couple drawers for it for singles.

that is an Avanti 16 bottle.. which is the same type i have below.. You can squeeze a bit into there, i can get about 16-18 boxes in there.... good for the price (these are cheap brand new)

yeah I figured that it was a bit bigger than a 12 bottle but that is what it said on the craigs list ad. I might have to pick your brain about those drawers if you dont mind

Sure, PM me if you have any questions...
just FYI, they are not really "drawers", They are just cedar trays that i bought from either cheap humidors.com or cigarmony.com. i forget. I just drilled holes and put handles on them
Image
And the shelves that they rest on are just Tinted Plexiglass, cut to size.. i just gave them a scrubbing in odorless soap to get rid of the smell, and voila!.. Hope this helps

Thanks Mac!
On the left side of pic #3 you can see my little collection of CA's top 25.
I went on a scavenger hunt last week and was able to find 21 out of the 22 NC's. The only ones I'm missing are the Padilla Signature 1932 Torpedo and of course, the 3 CC's.
