Tonight was our monthly homemade pizza night. I prebake the dough and all the ingredients and let the kids and their friends make their own pizzas. Ended up making 11 tonight.

No pics (ate it too fast). But I grilled some shrimp and served them with angel hair pasta and some very fresh homemade pesto. Growing season is ending here pretty quick so I raided my herb garden and made a big batch today. Froze a bunch for the long winter and ate the rest for dinner tonight......good stuff.

Sweet potato encrusted whitefish, over bed of sautéed spinach, bacon and onions. Drizzled with a Crystal Hot Sauce buerre blanc. My take on the first dish I ever had in New Orleans.

Simple dinner tonight.
Whole chicken on the smoker. Just under 6 lbs.
Covered in my sweet rub.
Cooking at 300. A bit hotter than I normally do but I got a late start.
Gonna serve it up with some cole slaw.
Then it'll be time to boil the carcass for stock.
