Just south of Dallas, expecting 6 inches . My daughter and the snowman we just made . It would be her first one we have had a chance to make.

I know I live in the south and normally it doesn't get that cold down here but I can sympathize with many of you because I spent six years in Washington State, 3 years in New Jersey and 3 years on Governors Island in NY Harbor. I also spent 28 months on an icebreaker. I think I know cold.

That being said, it is "raining" ice crystal outside my window. I went outside a short time ago and there was a small squirrel sitting on the hood of my truck eating a nut. The engine was still warm.

When I retire I'm moving South. The pics are from South of Baltimore in Anne Arundel County.

Won't do you any good. Saw on the weather channel last night 49 out of 50 states have snow right now.

Thanks for sharing the shot and for your efforts to help everyone out by working so hard

By the way that truck is on the side of the street. It was nice to actually have more thanks this time than the other way around. Some people don't realize when the weathermen and the Government tell everyone it's too dangerous to go out is when we have to leave our family's at home and go to work.

That's silly, parking your line truck in that drift like that. :-)

While we've been hit hard here in Richmond this year (3x now,) my wife's sister lives in Ashburn. They're in a corner townhouse, at the end of a deadend street--a good place for all the snowplows in their neighborhood to dump the snow

That's my niece at the top of the mound. She's about 4 1/2 ft tall.

Fortunately their driveway is clear. Barely.

You guys have had a fantastic amount of snow so far, in the Uk we get 2 inches and the country grinds to a halt!!

Also i dont think over here we would get away with burying Police Cras under mountains of snow.. lmao.. :-)

Well there are places on this side of the pond that will shut down with the mere threat of snow. I know people in Montgomery County, Maryland that didn't have work or school last week because of the snow. I can't imagine being down south right now.

Oh, and there's a police car plowed in at the local station. Figure they'll give it to a rookie. :-)

It snowed and iced pretty good when I was there in December '08. Drove from Glasgow to Manchester, and then Manchester to London in sleet and snow. The other drivers seemed to be doing OK in it.
