Fast 6 - You may be able to suspend any concept of reality during the car chase with a tank.....however, the last big scene where the Russian Cargo Plane is careening down or just above a runway for what seems like half an hour was over-the-top enough for me to roll my eyes into the back of my head and stop 'just enjoying' it.

The only question I have about this movie is:
How much is Gina Carano in it?

Moneyball - Good movie. Entertaining and told true story pretty well. ......... However, I guess I was expecting more of a convincing argument for sabermetrics. There were a couple of nods to Bill James. But, mostly I felt that the single season of data, or the managing by Howe (good and/or bad) were more than enough to dilute the stats 'message' or 'lesson'.

I watched Fast 6 as well and really enjoyed it; just as all action films I accept them for what they are “movies”. There will always be an over exaggerated part. Take "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicholas Cage and the ramp off the tow truck over the accident; far fetched, but still a great movie.

edited to correct may not be recurring...can't remember if she died or not...really....in fact, I'm not sure anyone really died...

This weekend the wife and I rented Cloud Atlas. We made it 45 minutes and shut it off. I was completely and utterly confused. A review I read on the web summed up my feelings exactly: "Its like watching TV with someone who changes the channels every 3 minutes for hours."

I didn't even make it 45, at about 30 minutes I had given up and started to do the dishes while letting it play on in the background.
I ended up watching The Man, Sam Jackson and Eugene Levy.

Three things I look for in a movie: A fist fight, A car chase, and sh*t blowin' up!

It's my wife's favorite movie. Part of the whole married thing is that we have to sit through each others movies.
I display my Man Card with pride!

I would not bet on that... How many times have you watched The Notebook?
I have watched Notting Hill more than 20 times -- in fact so much more that I have lost count...
Fortunately, my wife has watched her share of action movies to match
:-)
