Where was the deal? I haven't seen cubao maduros anywhere in a while.

Emerson Cigars. One of only two retailers to get these (both in Virginia)...the other was Havanna Connections.

The deal was a daily Joe's Cigar deal at Ci. It was posted as natural Cubao's though and not Maduros

$40 to try something that only a few people in the States will get to every smoke? I'd say it's worth it since you had the chance! I've got to smoke one and it was very interesting. Definitely enjoyed the experience. Not the best cigar ever, but it was good.

Yeah, it was a release only in Holland. Some brothers over there were kind enough to send some this way, but between taxes and shipping it ended up being approx. $20 a stick. Charlie wrote a great post on it over on halfwheel, very in depth (even for us, rofl).
