My gf decided to cook hamburger helper for dinner while I was out smoking. I always do the cooking. Because she can't cook. Well, actually, it's because I like to cook, and I hate doing dishes. Anywho, I got inside, and she was taking the lid off the skillet, and asked me if it looked right. No, it didn't. I grabbed the empty box, and went through the ingredients with her. She forgot the 2 cups of milk, so it was a disaster. I fixed it though, and added some real cheese since the powdered stuff was clumped and burnt in the pan. Then threw the glop in wraps with some sour cream and fritos.

Last night I made a soup. I used Trader Joe's Black Bean Soup (their soups are really good for building meals out of, very flavorful, but not much to them) and added some italian sausage, corn, rice, and spices. Came out really nice, very filling.

Tonight was smoked brisket, smoked low and slow for 10hours. With 2 racks of ribs smoked for 4 hours. Sides were slow cooked green beans and spaghetti squash sauted in olive oil with garlic.

Just put a rack of ribs in the oven, dry rub, a little apple sauce and some othr spices. Have them in for an hour right now, probably go for 2 wrapped in foil, finish for a half hour out of foil.
Sound about right on cook time? My friend just brought them over andI kinda am winging it.
