Wine, Beer, and Spirits>What beers are you enjoying II?

I agree with the power of the simple cucumber. That tiny hint of acidity, the cool, crisp sensation of freshness, wetness,
sweetness. At first it does sound hard to imagine drinking, but I bet it's good.

Picked up a Labatts limited edition summer pack for this past weekend on the boat. Had a mix of rye ale, shandy, blonde and pils. The rye and pils were ok the shandy was pretty enjoyable the blonde was meh.

Again reinforcing my opinion that Lagunitas is one of the most overlooked breweries around. Everything they make is fantastic.

If you ever get a chance to get out west here, and can get Lagunitas on tap it is absolutely amazing!

Heard Stone is a great place to visit. Had a good friend of mine take a business trip out to SD this past winter.. He said there is great food there, plus one off brews and plenty of outside seating.

Southern Tier Creme Brûlée.
Hmm. I took a few sips and kept thinking I knew that exact flavor. Finally figured it out... The cheap, flavored "Cappucino" that comes out of the machine at gas stations. Dead ringer for that flavor.
Not really all that impressed with the beer.
