Check out the comic......that's all I'm sayin' with no spoilers....issue # 8 to be exact.
:-)
Also from the tv show she had a better take on the Carl situation than Frank did.

No cable last night due to the storm ... gotta keep from checking this thread today to avoid any spoilers
:-) (You can see I'm already off to a roaring start)

Solid episode! Gotta like the twist at the end.

One of the best things to hit the airwaves in awhile, imho. So sick of the unReality TV shows, or the CSI
:-)mfg's!
Really looking forward to Andrea turning into a lean, mean, zombie killin' machine. Its gonna happen, and I can't wait! Now they just need to find a reason to stick her in a swimsuit for me.
:-)

Another well done episode last night. I especially loved the scene with Daryl, Andrea and the hanging zombie. Daryl was not happy about the way the zombie "went out". Pretty amazed he was going to leave the zombie there. The other scene I really enjoyed was when Rick and Lori were discussing what to do with Carl. We now really see the dynamic of how these terrrible times force people to think they would be better off dead. I mean she tells her husband that they should just let their son die! And great job from the writers, perfectly bringing back the deer scene to help convince Carl's mother that he wants/needs and should have every opportunity to survive injury.
Well done again, cannot wait till next week.

Kind of made the whole episode! Nothing wrong with a flashback now and again to keep us on our toes!
I need to watch Season 1 and then I am going to start with 2. I have no cable, so I have to catch these any
way I can. I guess like with my horribly late start with Deadwood, I am going to be a pathetic latecomer,
but I am ready to watch this tonight.

My wife asked me a question and I didn't know the answer:
"Do you think Shane left Otis for dead to give him more time to escape?"
or
"Did Shane leave Otis as revenge for shooting Carl?"
I think if he had left him to escape he would have shot him once and been gone. Because he began to beat Otis I believe it was meant to be revenge.
What do you guys think???
I couldn't believe the ending. When Shane was looking at the "bald" spot on his head, I thought he was bitten or a bullet grazed him.
Also, I didn't buy any of the writing around the mother saying that perhaps it was best if Carl died. It's her only son! Just not a realistic thing for a mother to say.

I thought Otis was grabbing on to him. I though the beaten started because Shane needed to run and Otis was holding on to him.
Did i see that wrong?

Interesting question. I think it depends on how you view Shane's relationship with Carl. We know that Shane is fond of him, but he's been acting like a jerk to him. When I first saw it, I thought he shot Otis so that he could get away. But I also thought, why didn't he just shot him in the head? Why make him suffer by getting eaten alive?
Perhaps the revenge theory explains this...

That's how I took it and I see it as a necessary evil, Shane had to get the medicine back to Carl

If I remember correctly, he shot him from a distance out of reach for Otis to grab him, and then he approached him instead of running.

yeah, to get the bag he was carrying
Off topic a bit, but how does a show have a 6 episode season?? What schedule do they air it on?
Every MONTH,
Every Two WEEKS??
I know this is how many Eastbound and Down had, but I didn't see that on HBO either, so I have no idea
how long you wait for a new episode.
