Mets getting no hit through 7 innings by Aaron Harang...and then the Braves took him out. WTF????

Wright wrecks the no-no in the eighth. :-) :-)

No mention of the final score?
I guess it's a good day around these parts when your team gets shut out but doesn't get no hit?
Whatever gets you through the day, my man! :-)

I can't wait for Ike to get hot in Pittsburgh.

Dom, that was posted while the game was still in progress.

Mets get shutout by the Braves, but not no-hit, 6-0. :-) :-)

Bullpen p*sses another one away this evening. As we lose to the Braves, 7-5. Mets tried to come back in the 9th, but couldn't pull it off. D'Arnaud grounds out with the bases loaded. Granderson isn't contributing at all... .143. Come on man!!

Mets salvage a win in the series against the Braves, winning 4-3 in 14 innings. Bullpen held it together for 8 innings. Back to .500 at 9-9. :-) :-)

They can have him. Let's revisit this posting in about two months. When good 'ole Ike is in a 3-39 slump with 26 strikeouts. :-) :-)

You're confusing Ike with Granderson! :-)

Cardinals returned the favor last night by shutting us out, 3-0.

Mets hang on to beat the Cardinals last night, 3-2. Wacha struck out 10, but walked 5...and gave us a few runs. Farnsworth held on to seal the deal. :-)

Mets recall Bobby Abreu. For what? I'm still shocked they signed him to a minor league deal. What can a 40 year old outfielder do for us? :-) :-)

FWIW, of last night's starting outfielders, not a single one of them is above the Mendoza Line. The only OF on the current roster that eclipses it is Eric Young Jr, and he's hitting .222.
Truth be told, he can't hurt.

Says you. Lagares needs to hurry back...he was the only OF pulling his weight.

Mets beat the Cardinals this afternoon, 4-1, and took 3 of 4 for the series. Dice-K gets the save. Chris Young hits his first HR as a Met and Granderson has an RBI in his pinch-hitting appearance. Even Abreu got a hit this afternoon. :-) <---that's for Dom. 12-10, thought we'd be about 6-16, I'll take it. :-) :-)

Guess who's in sole posession of second place in the NL East???

NY Mets :-) :-) :-)

While it will more than likely be short lived...I'm enjoying it while I can. D
