Last night I smoked a Diesel Shorty and I have to say the first one I had was WAY WAY overpowering... The one I had last night had aged in my humi for about 2 months and was much more tame and enjoyable... anyone ever had this happen? with this particular cigar?

That looks like a tasty stick right there...

Cohiba Robusto, my first. Got a fiver of these with a bunch of other sticks. Have to say I was somewhat underwhelmed, considering the normal price of these. Wasn't a bad smoke though, I nubbed it.

Nub Maduro

Just smoked one of these guys the other day (Lancero). Good, but nothing to crazy over. I think I'll have better luck in the future with a thicker vitola like the one you had. Can't go wrong with a Fuente :-)

My room is in the basement which flooded today. Some of my stuff was ruined but somebody wad looking out for me because my cigars and my books were safe. To simultaneously celebrate and unwind i poured a nice glass of whiskey and smoked a viaje satori under the stars tonight. What seemed to be a bad day ended quite peacefully.

Pretty appropriate for the ending of your story considering "Satori" means "enlightenment". Sorry about the flooding though, hopefully the damage was minimal :-)

Im glad to hear it wasnt a total loss. I worry about that myself as my humidor is in the basement as well. Today i fired up a Ramon Bueso Genesis torpedo. Good stuff.
