The Skystone by Jack Whyte. Historical novel, the 1st of the Camulod Chronicles. The rise and fall of Camelot, an excellent read.

Finished up The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Good book but the first and second books of the series were better IMO.

I finished: The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer by Phillip Carlo. It is about serial killer Richard Kuklinski. I highly recommend the book.
Now I am reading a book which just came out today: SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper

Last time I posted to this thread I was knee-deep in "The Golden Spruce" and "The Tiger" from Vaillant, "The Hungry Tide" from Ghosh, and "Cutting for Stone" from Verghese.
Vaillant's books were the best back-to-back books I have ever read from the same author. 2 completely different stories, both addictive after 10 pages.
"The Hungry Tide" is a book I would gift to mom, wife, sister that likes to read. Dragged a bit.
"Cutting for Stone" was great.
After watching 4 episodes of HBO's Game of Thrones....I bought the book this morning and plan on power-reading my way past where the show is, now that I have a visual character introduction.

A little over a month and I'm within a couple hundred pages of finishing the 7th book in the series, "Uther." 910 pages in "Uther," over 5,500 in the series

I'm working on John Sanford's Lucas Davenport "Prey" series. I'm through the first six at a book a week pace. Very entertaining and hard to put down!

Finished up How to Make Your Child Mind Without Losing Yours right before the current trip and then finished up The Orc King by RA Salvatore today. Next up on the trip is Good Omens from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Seemed fitting to read while over in the UK.
