I was a "crazy" watch guy, I loved dive watches and mostly hoarded seikos and micro brands for the past 4 years. But I got tired of the hobby and sold everything I had by the end of 2012 and now I only have a pilot watch and 1 micro brand diver (Armida).

I've got on the Armida today...

Yes, it does. What kind of movement is it? Screw down crown?

Big watch. It has the main goodies you want in a watch. I wonder how long ago it was made? I thought ETA stopped supplying non Swatch brands. It could be that many manufacturers have good stock on movements still.

Armida has been around a year or two. Same Chinese cases most boutiques are using...Helson, Deep Blue, Wilson Watch Works, Kemmner....but they are still all nice watches :-)

Anyone have a Seiko 5 Automatic? Been looking at two different models, the SNK805 and SNZG09. I really want the similar looking, and more expensive Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, but I'll have to settle for a Seiko for the time being.

Yep...and I've had many from the others you list above plus watches from other boutique brands (Benarus, Boschett, Halios, Prometheus and Precista) and some put out watches/cases not available from a another watch brand (which include Fricker cases)

I almost bought a Hamilton, but went with the Laco because of the older looking style (Now I just gotta get a bomber jacket and goggles). I still really like those Hamiltons though.

ETA stopped supplying unfinished movements to non-Swatch Group companies, they still sell completed movements. "3rd party" companies like Steinhart still buy and use them, it just means more work if they want to put out special editions with highly decorated and/or unique metal finishes in the movements as the movement has to be disassembled and refinished.

Love that watch! Are you going to buy a bracelet for it too? How's the tire pressure gauge working? Can you show a few pictures of the gauge?

I'll snap a couple pics of the gauge when I get home later today. Havent tried out the gauge to see functionality or accuracy, but I remember seeing readings are only in bar.

Chopard is a great house for both jewelry and watches. The Mille has been a good success for them.
