I haven't tried this years release. I wasn't able to get tickets this year
:-)
My friend was passing through Indy on a business trip, stopped at the pub the day after and had some on tap. He said it was good as ever, sweet again but not over the top. I may try to snag a bottle or two. I had a 2010 last week, amazing stuff with 2 years on it, it should last another 5-8 years.

I'm surprised you still have any of that left. Mine usually doesn't last that long.

Is that only available at their brewery, or is it available at stores in the STL area? Was it expensive? Easily washed and reusable?

I just saw one of those metal growlers ... here:

Looks even sweeter in black, IMO.
I've always loved White Birch's label in general. Have only tried two of their beers. One was pretty good (hop session), one was pretty mediocre (hooksett ale)

I saved 3 bottles for my vacation week after next. Can't wait to break into them.

Sweet. I'd buy a couple in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the laws in CA that would prevent me getting it filled anywhere.

Working on a flip-top of What is Enlightenment now. Simcoe and Amarillo play really nice together

We have the same "brewery only growler fills" law here. Dumb law. They would work great for filling off homebrew kegs to bring to the ballpark/disc golf course/cabin/park/etc., however. No chance of breakage with moderate abuse.

So I'm thinking I should try some more belgian-y stuff.
I've been avoiding anything Belgian for fear of not liking it, after a handful I tried.
Probably my least favorite of all was la Fin Du Monde.
Didn't like:
La Fin Du Monde
Victory Golden Monkey
Three Philosophers
Goose Island Matilda
... I'm sure there were one or two others but I can't think of them right now
Did like:
Hennepin
Saison Dupont
Le Freak
Clown Shoes Muffin Top
Brother Thelonius
Allagash Black
So - what should I try next?
I can get a decent selection of Unibroue though they have me worried for now... Allagash... Ommegang... Pranqster... Brooklyn 1/2... GI Sofie, Jacques

I tried one of my Lake Erie Monsters tonight and i would have to agree its a decent DIPA. I liked it, but it was not as hoppy as i was hoping. It was very drinkable.

Had the Rogue Chocolate Stout last night and LOVED IT! Best Chocolate Stout I've ever had. Anyone have any suggestions for challengers? (Had Terrapins Moo-Hoo right after and wasn't impressed)
