Sports>Winter Olympics!!

Very disappointed in the US woman's curling team. They did not get the clutch shots and lost to the Germans. The good thing is my daughters became a fan of curling after I had them watch the match.

Lindsey Vonn was pretty impressive, especially when they showed in the replays how she was basically doing her turns on one leg.

From Letterman's "Top Ten Surprising Facts Aboot Curling" last night:
"Every year, dozens of people watch." :-)

You know, NBC is really pissing me off. It was getting late last night, so I saw Shaun White's first run at the half-pipe, but didn't stay up to watch the second. So here I am, searching the internet for a video of it, and every single one I find is pulled due to copyright infringement. They don't have it available on the NBC site. You would almost think NBC is trying to make these olympics as inaccessible as possible.

I normally enjoy the Winter Games but for some reason just can't seem to get interested in them this year.

There's only so much room, and they have all that brilliant commentary from Katie Couric and Mary Carillo (who I'm pretty sure was a man at some point). :-)

Do you guys know if the games can be watched online legally? If not NBC needs to get with the times, they could show any event live that way.

Not that it will go anywhere, but I sent NBC a email telling them I thought their coverage was very poor and hoped ESPN gets the next contract. Why are we seeing time delayed sports for an Olympics in the same time zone as the US? To watch online you have to download M$ Silverlight and provide your cable TV account information to them, and that aint gonna happen. BUT, they cry and whine when people try to go around all the BS they setup up. I just want to click a link and watch a flash box show a sport in real time. Not hard to do for any 11th grader in high school.

You can try channelsurfing.net. They might have some usable feeds.

Justin.tv has some feeds. I was able to watch most of the women's downhill until all of a sudden the feed was pulled for "copyright" reasons. This happened just as the German was beginning to do her run- likely the last challenger for the gold. Like I said, I cannot begin to watch the NBC coverage because it is crap of the highest odor. Nothing beats seeing an event LIVE w/o constant commercial and back story interruptions!

I missed the race, not sure NBC covered it. Apparently Majdic took Bronze with 4 broken ribs. The bad news: she was supposed to compete in a few more events, but she's done for these Games.

I was hoping to hear the games on satellite radio as well especially hockey but they aren't on their either. NBC killed the olympics!

Wow that was a great game. The shoot out was good. I was surprised how well Brodeur did. I wish he could play this well for us in the regular season...:-)
