General Discussion>Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while

Compared to the dirt bike forum I sometimes read, this forum seems populated by English language professors.

epiphany time for the punctuation challenged here im giving up on all attempts at punctuation its obvious that trying is not enough for many and the pain involved for those of us who are challenged in this area who try our best is just too great in the face of the lack of understanding by those blessed with the ability to just know when to use commas colons semi colons etc
freedom thank you its like a great weight has been lifted

Back to the thread now.
Nope, anyone can spend any amount on any product, once the seller agrees upon a minimum level. For instance, some here have gone to college and still are quite incapable of using rudimentary English forms. Imagine that, graduating from an institution of higher learning, and simple, standard conventions are not a matter of course, or even habit. Two, four, six, or eight years in higher education and the result is still as if the elementary or high school education hasn't even made any lasting impact. Simply because one can write a check is no guarantee of performance, or quality, or for that matter, appreciation. (Please reference, Gurkha, conversely 1492, institutional learning facilities of your choice with illiterate athletes).
While informal language may be an acceptable thing, within reason, it's fairly obvious why our society seems to be sinking to the lowest common denominator.

As Emily Litella once said... "Never mind."

It was mine.

I'm both appalled and amused by this thread. While I try to rule my own grammar and spelling with an iron fist, I do my best to let others set their own composition standards. However, this post crossed the line and a little piece of me just died.
