That Mizzou pick didn't work out too well did it?

Mizzou played a piss poor game. Our Off. Coordinator apparently has four plays and can't adjust, and as much as I like our QB as a person (the dude is a complete boyscout), it's time to put in the second string guy who can actually run the offense and make some passes. This season is already a loss so we might as well give the QB of the future the starting time.

Connor Shaw looked great tonight. Maybe he is gaining some confidence. Mizzou was a lot more flat than I thought they'd be. They had their chances though.

I sure as hell hope these two asshats from KY get their suspensions like DJ Swearingen did.

FL Jordan Reed hit

I think only one of those guys gets suspended. Either way, I think the Swearingen hit was a bit worse. Part of me hates the wussification of football, but I definitely understand the need to keep players from getting hit in the head.

I agree, but it needs to be consistent.

I do not like the new helmet rule though. I think it is going to lead to a lot of headlocks and neck twisting in the pile ups.

That was actually the complaint Mizzou had after the Georgia game. Apparently, Franklin's helmet kept getting yanked off when he was at the bottom of piles so he'd have to come out. In hindsight we probably would have been better off if it had happened even more. :-)

I think we'll se some neck injuries from it. I like what they are trying to do in protecting players, but not if the rule leads to other injuries.

Agreed. Seems to be a case of good intentions leading to other consequences.

Gators took care of business again, looked good. Gotta find a way to not start so slow though.

And btw, with the recent AP poll the SEC is the first conference in history to have 4 teams in the top 6 spots :-) :-)

Oh yeah!!!!

I also enjoyed watching Clempsuhn melt down. It was just a couple games later last year that his happened. Taj Boyd is a chockapotamus. He's a badass when he is on, but when he is off, he suuuuuuuucks. Kinda reminds me of SCs Stephen Garcia in the first half of last year. Also, whats up with their D-Line? Seems like they had one foot off the bus in the first half and went back to campus for the 2nd half.

PS - Arkansas' whole season can be summed up in one emoticon:

Arkansas has been pretty bad, but they just fired their coach and I think the interim coach had his brother die. It's to be expected.

Auburn lost 3 games before October for the first time in school history. It is a bad year to be an Auburn fan. I wholly approve.

That's what happens when you hire a really old coach.

LSU takes care of their business and tumbles in the polls. No style points this time
I guess. I hear it's a circus, but I have yet to see a game with the sound on.
Last year nearly the entire season was televised somewhere. This year, ehhhhh.
Guess we should have scored at least a point in the BCSNCG.

From what I hear, Zach Mettenburger is almost as good as Jarrett Lee, lol.

What I was worried about happening to MIZZOU going to the SEC has happened. I was trying to stay positive and hopeful but my dreams have been shattered. Still going to support my team and attend the home games. When they have it together they are awesome but when the suck they are awesome at that too.

It is going to be a rough season for them.

It'll take some adjusting to the SEC. When USC and Arkansas joined at the last expansion in '90 they weren't so hot either

Yeah, I was pulling for them hard, too. Just like I used to do for bama til I hated them.
It's a long tough road of recruiting and SEC-ialization. You need to compete with the
LSUs and bamas of the world for players of great skill. I think by 2016 you guys should be swingin.

On the other hand Michael, Florida looked good. I was impressed.

Yeah man, there's a Big 3 in an SEC division. But it ain't the West this year. Florida is a legit contender w/Georgia and USC and my Gators are more battle proven

It'll be fun to watch :-)
