I thinking about getting some ink myself. I'm afraid to take the plunge however.

My biggest problem is the lack of good artists in Newfoundland and the fact that there are no good artists in Nunavut (to my knowledge)
I got my first tattoo 20 years ago and it was ok, small spider on my chest.
Then I wanted a band of lizards around my right arm, and brother I wanted it NOW! Ended up at shady McShady's tattoo place...
Tattoo guy - Well I don't have the flash for lizards, so how about dragonflys?
Stupid me - You can do it right NOW
Tattoo guy - oh hells ya, just let me finish this drink...
Lets just say, I have wanted more work done... but until I find someone who does GOOD work... I am waiting.
We do have some GREAT artists in Newfoundland don't get me wrong but the demand is too high now and the wait lists are months if not years. Add the fact that I am only home for the summer.... you get my point.
Someday soon though!!

Here is some of my new work. An old school style Samurai. The color isnt finished yet, but coming along nicely. And a look at my left arm sleeve, about 90% complete.

Hre a look at another of my new pieces on my right shoulder/arm. A version of a dark angel. Right after being done, so it is still freshly red and irritated.

At forty I decided to have my first one and put it on my calf.
I got it last week and I don't have a really good picture of it yet but it's of the Gadsden flag, although I didn't get the yellow background.

Right arm: Tribal Tiger (my chinese zodiac sign) and a tribal Dragon (my wife's sign) circling around a ying yang with Kanji above and below (Harmony and Balance)
Left Arm: Quake 2 symbol with the eternity snake wrapped around it.
Work in progress: Thorns starting on the top of my left side(back) and will extend to top of left hip.

If you come out to California I'd be more than happy to set you up with one of my artists in Santa Barbara, they're all top notch
