2010 lost a bit too much barrel character for me, which is a big part in why I love KBS. 2011 and 2012 were great as always though. I think I still have another 2010 left.

I felt the coffee and chocolate were pretty in your face on the 2010.

2011 had the best balance for me. Yeah the 2010 had a ton of chocolate, but it seemed it lost too much of its bourbon/barrel goodness I like

I still holding onto to some 2010. The last year it was made by the head brewer Sam before he left. There is something that the beer has that the last couple years are missing.
I do think the 2011 is pretty great and the 2012 is decent. Not that the 2012 is young it seems like it's missing a few pieces of a puzzle.

You're right about 2012. It's different than the last couple years. Maybe it's the coffee or something. I didn't really like the last release of regular Breakfast Stout as much as previous years as well..

Gotta get a few hours of sleep. Getting up real early to stand in line for tickets for The Great Taste.
I should report in the wee hours of the morning with some beers.
:-)
Oh, and it's Craft Beer Week in Madison and will be getting some Founders Better Half on tap tomorrow.
