What a stinker trade for the Thrashers....from what I understand, several other teams made what I consider better offers.

Pierre LeBrun said the deal with the Devils was the best possible deal the Thrashers could get.

Being in 9th place I would think just getting to 6th by the end of the season would be a solid goal and possibe. Your odds of catching the Yotes or Kings in my opinion are pretty slim. They have been playing better hockey all year. They are healthy and I would take either of their goaltenders. 5th if one of them implodes and the wings get red hot. 4th I would be willing to place a bet on that not happening.

Hawks break their winless streak at 3 with a 2-1 victory over the Blues. Antti Niemi was awesome, and the Blues only goal came with a minute left and a 6 on 3 (goalie pulled on a two man advantage). Game had hits, great saves by both goalies, fights, and goals by Patrick Sharp and Johnny Toews.

Speaking of impressive goalies, Craig Anderson shut out the Oilers for the third time this season tonight! :-)

I love watching Craig Anderson. Some of the saves he makes are incredible.
