Not a proud moment for my fellow Florida Crackers of that area but Rosewood is only a county away from where my family moved to from the Panhandle of Florida in the 20s. My dad and I pass the old site of Rosewood when we go fishing at Cedar Key along the Gulf Coast

Makes me remember another good black history movie, although based on a great Zora Neale Hurston book, about Jim Crow Florida for the list:
