I'm not really much into gospel but colelctively, The Blind Boys of Alabama also belong (gotta go back a few years though, they had one or two members die in the last few years)

Also Cee-Lo Green when he's not rapping, is like Marvin Gaye, just an octave or so higher.

And of course William Hung.
I'm surprised they slipped they (nearly) through the cracks :-)

I'd have to say that Burton Cummings of The Guess Who had the quintessential rock & roll voice and for country/folk it would have to be Gordon Lightfoot. :-)
