So in a month another outdoor game? :-)

That 24/7 show was great. Last one this week, so glad Crosby lost. 2nd home team to lose the winter classic for those keeping score.

That's what I'm here for Pops :-)

First win at the Joe for the Flyers since 1988 :-) Wings played an uninspiring game. Got outplayed 1st and 2nd period and then turned it on in the 3rd. Our offense hasn't really been affected without Datsuyk and Cleary. Hudler is finally playing better.

I'm interested to see how Rolosson is going to play in net for the Lightning.. If he can go back to his Edmonton days then things could get interesting.

Hawks need to get a win in LA tonight, they didn't play terrible last night (except Kane), but are still in a 3 game slide.
Ahbroody 11:45 AM 01-03-2011
I was going to say something about Kane. Saw the clip when old man Selanne made Kane look not so good and drew the penalty. Hoping Sharks can catch the Stars in the next week.

I remember some people doubting the Canucks at the start of the year. They are in first if anyone is looking for them and seem to be on an upswing. Oo and Atlanta is not to bad and Fugly is a stud. Tom that trade will bite the Hawks in the arse it appears for years.

USA vs Canada in the semis of the World Jr. Championships tonight at 5:30 MST.
Ahbroody 12:26 PM 01-03-2011
I was just about to post that we were loosing site of the really important event for the day.
America v. America jr. :-). In a grudge match of last years finals where the US took gold (twists knife). I will say Canada has looked amazing at times this year and while the US is undefeated some were squeakers. I expect the Canadians to play insane from the drop. A second loss to the US would be a friggin national tragedy.

Just like the GM game in the Vancouver Olympics, Mounties have been posted at all bridges throughout Canada to prevent residents from jumping in the event that their boys lose....:-)

Hawks certainly did not want to trade Big Buff, the salary cap just left them little choice. I am happier than a hog in chit to see him do so well there. Hawks just have to hope Morin lives up to his potential, so at least they get some benefit.

Canada takes a 4-1 victory. Pretty impressive win from the Canucks, team USA really didn't look like they were in the game other then Jack Campbell. It could have very easily been 7 or 8 to 1.

It was cool watching two IceHogs (Morin and Leddy) and one soon to be IceHog (Olsen) in a game of that magnitude. Should be could to chat with them about the whole experience.

Also Tom I got to go to a Hawks practice last week to interview some former hogs for a piece we are putting together for theahl.com. Got into the dressing room after practice while all the other media had to wait outside, it was a pretty cool experience.

Agree, USA looked like they were a man down at even strength... Had a hard time getting it through the NZ, let alone getting solid offensive chances... IMO, just looked totally overmatched....

Olsen's dad does camps/private lessons here.... He kinda the guru of skating in the area.... Hope to have the LM skating with him this summer for 8-10 sessions give or take, guess some of that will depend on how they click....

Went to the Sharks Canucks last night.
Sold my tickets then went to hockey practice with micah only to be offered seats by his coach. Micah is close friends with the coaches son. Good game except I felt the Sharks got jobbed a little in the third, but regardlesz the Canucks to quote jeneret(sp) are scarry good right now.

That was an exciting Sharks game last night. Great to see Ehrhoff and Malhotra doing well. Man, do I miss Manny in the face-off circle. We still have a great face off percentage but Manny is one ofthe best!

The first goal was a thing of beauty, 7 seconds into the game and Malkin scores
Tuxguy 09:14 PM 01-05-2011
Final 8 to 1 thrashing, then 24/7 on HBO, what a good ending to the show. To bad my Pens lost the winter classic
