It is definitely potent I let my second pour breathe about 10 minutes and it opened up a lot.

It's actually sad I joined and my computer quits on me. For some reason my iPhone has an issue with the site so I am having to wait til I fix my desktop to get back on.

Picked up a bottle of Eagle Rare 10yr last night gonna have a pour of it after supper I think. Also going to to check out 2 more stores in town. One I used to be a regular at and the other I have never been to before so maybe I'll find something else new.

Try them in a different order- you might be surprised by how differently they come across to you.

IMO, Woodford is the best of those three by a country mile, but that's another matter. :-)

Had a pour of the Eagle Rare 10yr last night. The nose and the taste were both fairly sweet almost creamy but the finish had a strong oak taste and was kind of bitter.

Oh man I love me some Eagle Rare 10 yr! But I think I found a new favorite a couple weeks ago, Russell Reserve 10 yr. That stuff was a flavor bomb for me, I love it! And it's about the same price as the Eagle Rare.

"IF" it comes to that. Wild Turkey 101. Otherwise in honor of our victory I'll be trying something new. :-)

I just found a bottle of Pappy 20 today but did not buy it. A new "Total Wine" opened up, not too far from me and the price is $115. That seems high to me but I am really not sure what the going price is for Pappy 20 now days.

NICE

I haven't had any of the Pappys. I REALLY REALLY want to try the 15 year. I hear it's the best of the Pappys.

That's pretty much how much it is here. It's weird how certain bottles of bourbon are cheaper outside of KY, like the BTAC.

I've only had the 15 and it is fantastic. Hard as hell to get here, and I work at a liquor store (managers snag them all up :-) ). The Van Winkle 12yr is also fantastic, and the Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof is awesome for the price, about $30.

I just picked up another 750 of the Weller 12yr. Great stuff for the price (about $22 here), but it only comes out a few times a year. I love all things Weller.

I paid 102.00 for the bottle here in WA state.

Just picked me up a bottle of Elijah Craig 12. This will be my first time trying bourbon, I hope all goes well :-) I usually drink scotch, so at least I got a head start.

That's a smack in the face for a first bourbon. Just be aware that it's about as unsubtle as they get.

Heard nothing but good things about this bottle. On another note, I'm used to drinking scotch, so not a total newbie here. I usually do a lot of research when it comes to buying drams. After all, it all comes down to personal individual preference and taste.
