Enjoyed the day yesterday!!! Gators made some great defensive adjustments and controlled the game in the second half. Loved what MSU did to Auburn.

Just a quick question? Was that Missouri's normal stadium? It looked like they weren't burning all the lights or something. Kind of small, like a high school stadium in Alabama or Louisiana or Texas.

Looks to me like the teams that COULD play well really did, and the teams everyone
is iffy on played iffy. I was proud of LA-Monroe, nice work, really kicked the intensity
up there and got out with a win. That will Help Tulane's Strength of Schedule a bit.
LSU took care o business nicely, UF made me a half-believer. Got to give it to UGA, too,
I really don't care for em much but I like watching them play. LOOKED like the new kids
on the block might take either of their games, but pedigree proved out once again. Nice
weekend of football for me. All the credit in the world to the MSU bulldogs to, they acquitted
themselves nicely.

I'm still in shock about the Hogs... With Bobby gone, we don't have anyone that can coach that team. I feel like we are in for a really terrible season.

Had a great weekend in Title Town. The O Line was very shaky and we lost Jalston Fowler to an ACL injury (pretty sure)...May not make it back over til A&M :-)

Man oh man. First 3 quarters were well done. Mizzou showed they belong. Then all the sudden they opened a can of Choke just like we do every season. Boy oh boy. Talking all that smack and now eating crow. How about the coaching? Some seriously questionable calls.

Hopefully they will bounce back Saturday even though it isn't an SEC game.

Bad football weekend for me. All my teams are losers.

Good luck and enjoy being a cellar dwellar in the SEC, much like you were in the Big 8.
I don't normally talk to Nebraska grads but when I do I tell them to Super Size it.

How about that Nebraska game!

Two pics I stumbled across this weekend demonstrate that our newest members don't quite get SEC culture yet.

How they tailgate at an established, hardcore SEC school:

Come on Mizzou! Y'all still got a thing or two to learn :-)

Thompson was spot on. He may not have the legs that Shaw has, but he is comfortable in the pocket, damn accurate and can routinely drop them 40yds deep.

No word on Shaw yet. I think he will be rotated in vs UAB. I'd rather they did not play him the whole game to make sure he is 100% healthy. I wish they could get him as comfortable passing as Thompson.

I would not get too down about it. It is called an upset for a reason and there is usually at least one huge version like this somewhere in the NCAA every season. SC was the chokapotamus a couple years ago when Vandy was pure festering garbage. Just one of those games when nothing goes right (or you substance dependent QB thrown 6 INTs). The piggies have a strong team and should bounce back.

Choke?? You didn't CHOKE, you got SEC'd, my man.
We lead teams into a false sense of parity then we show them what time it is.

Now giddy up. :-)

When your Tigers can consistently do that to other teams, then you can talk
about it from the proper perspective.

:-)

Great article on Mike Slive, his tour de force of SEC expansion, and travels to Colombia & College Station this past weekend:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--...y-weekend.html

And I knew we like him for more than his brilliant tactics:

"Slive was going home to have a cigar on the back porch and then watch the late-night highlights of everything he'd missed while jet-setting and glad-handing and back-slapping with both the academic elite and the common fan"

Let's get a Mike Slive Herf together!! :-)
