After more than a week of stalled talks between the NHL and the players' union, there appears to be some hope that negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement will resume this week. Formal discussions are "likely" to pick back up Friday, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun Tuesday.

That is a great read indeed. I too, have seen Michael on TV. I sure hope for him and all other kids (children and adults) the lockout passes and hockey begins soon.

Damn. That brought a tear. Storys like that often help put everything in perspective when you feel your life is so tough.

So from what I hear it sounds like the players won't even begin to negotiate if the salary rollback is on the table. Lots of people that know much more then me wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the season is toast.

On a slightly lighter note I found what could be the unnoficial "Lockout Song"! Enjoy!

Thank goodness the Icehogs play here a few times a season. Looks like that and my own hockey may have to carry me for a long while.

If you look around you can find a live stream to just about any league in the world,and for FREE :-)

I'm lazier than Jeff Hackett in overtime. :-)

I tend to watch a lot of games at night after work. Live stream dont work for that. GCL allows for watching all games in condensed form 20 minutes or full games. You can also watch games days later.

But for many of the euro and Russian leagues yes streaming is very handy as is live nhl games if you can watch when played

Ditto, Mike. I couldn't care less about KHL and Swedish Elite League, etc, games anyway.
