I spent like 30 mins laughing like hell at this guy. Funny stuff. His own Dubstep is pretty rad too.

Brad, check this out. This is still my favorite artist in the genre - Pretty Lights. This is a mashup he did on New Years Eve a couple years ago:

Of course, no one likes everything. But this really did it for me.

Acapella Dubstep. Yes - it is awesome. It is only a small chunk of the song - but holy cow is it impressive! The breakdown starts about 15 seconds after I've linked the video in...felt the need to give some perspective on it.

Some of it is awesome - some of it I could do without...I've learned that I'm really not a huge fan of mash-ups usually.

mmm, how did i miss this thread earlier..
BIG fan of dubstep. Almost saw Skrillex last month, a friend of mine was running his light show, but I couldn't manage to get free that night
:-) ... been listening to dubstep for a year now, about the time it started blowing up.
Glad Pentatonix won. Their acapella dub breakdown was SICK.
On the subject of acapella dub, this was "amusing" (but not sick like pentatonix)

Found this and thought it was hilarious - what dubstep sounds like to your parents:

Almost went in September. The place it was supposed to be is this ghetto club attached to a bowling alley. Turns out, it sold out and they moved it to Cowboys- A HUGE 2 level dancehall. I was so pissed when I found out about 2 weeks after they show that it had been moved. That show would have been crazy. Search on youtube for 'skrillex cowboys san antonio'.

Edit: just realized this linked the mobile YouTube page. Do a simple youtube search for "pumped up kicks dubstep" and click on the clip with a singular black dude by himself in front of a brick building with a time of 5:-)7.
That was insane!

Not sure if any of you guys have heard James Blakes' cover of Feist's "Limit to your Love"....beautiful song and I love a cover that really takes a song in a different direction. Made it on my top 10 list for 2011.
