Scott, I will keep you and Lisa in my prayers, that God may richly bless you both as you prepare the next part of this journey we call life as one flesh - man and wife.
Peace of the Lord be with you.

On a lighter note...
Knowing your sense of humor... I would love to be a fly on the wall at that proposal.

That's awesome.
Plan it with the kids so you can get some picture right after you ask her!

We've already talked about it, and we've even talked to the kids about it. She's just been waiting patiently for me to pull my head out of my ass and man up.
I'm still scared to death, but I've finally come to peace with all that there is to come to peace with. Pretty much. :-)
I love this woman like none other, and she feels the same about me. We think alike, laugh alike, and love alike. All under God.
We're thrilled about the thought of growing old together, and enjoying our one life.
Prayers that I don't lose my nerve, k guys? :-)
Congratulations brother. I too was recently engaged and just tied the knot a month ago after spending almost 5 years with the woman of my dreams. Some would say I waited too long, but we've made it past all the BS that usually plagues young married couples, we're financially sound, and we're truly committed to each other.
I have probably never been happier than I was on our wedding day. I hope you enjoy your day just as much. Congrats again!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers!!!
I'm all packed up and ready to go to Ohio and throw myself in the chipper.
:-)
You all honestly made me feel a lot better. There sure are a mess of hopeful romantics here.

Ohio? I thought you could only get married in California?
:-)
Looking forward to hearing your story bro!

I was looking to lose my last girlfriend a couple months before I started dating Lisa. It took a bit of effort, but I got her to break up with me. Via text message.

No I didn't Alex, not yet. I thought to stop at his house on the way in, but it hadn't occurred to stop and see him today, so I didn't call ahead. I'd planned to talk to him Sunday at family day.
They only live maybe 45 minutes away, so I might hop on the bike and ride over before Sunday.
He's awesome. I absolutely love Lisa's whole family, especially her Dad. I know he'll be surprised I asked, being he gave her away a long time ago. But she's his daughter, and I think it's very important. I know that I'd expect the same, even though kids today probably don't know any better.

My Son-In-Law Took Me Out For A Round Of Golf At His Expense & Asked For My Daughter's Hand After. I've Never Seen A Kid So Nervous!
:-) Best Thing He Ever Did, Though!
:-) Best Of Luck To You, Scott!
