Sports>USA v. Canada - Olympic hockey for the Gold
Prefy 05:00 PM 02-28-2010
Likely one of the best games I've seen in my lifetime.
The Americans played awesome, no reason to hang their heads!
I do have to say not a fan of 4 on 4 in overtime but still awesome none-the-less!
GOLD CANADA GOLD!!!

Congrats to Team Canada and their fans.
USA kids have nothing to hang their heads about, they were awesome after not being picked to even make the Medal round.

Congrats to the Canadians on a hard fought win!
And to our team who came out of nowhere to claim their medals
:-)
It's been a memorable Olympics to be sure.

Congrats Canucks
:-) That was one hell of a game. I am not a big Hockey fan but that game might have just changed that.

At least one has said he will be there, regardless of what the NHL does....

Congrats to both teams. I am not much of a hockey fan... but I sure enjoyed that one.

I take it you did not see the 1980 USA v. USSR game...
Other than that what a great game it was. Congrats to team Canada.

Matt said "
one of the best games...", not THE best game. I would have to agree.

What an amazing game....Miller is a beast and it sucks to have to boo him when he comes to Boston after what he did for the US team. I can't wait until 2014 games to see what we can do.

It was/is absolutely GONZO in downtown Vancouver this afternoon!!! Amazing game, completely lived up to the billing it's been getting for the last 4 years (even if most of that PR was assuming we'd be meeting the Russian's). Both teams played amazingly well, it could have easily gone either way... and that's the way games like that should be. Have to admit that I felt pretty bad for Miller after the euphoria of the moment passed, I never played goal but it's gotta feel pretty bad to be the guy that let in the goal that lost the gold

But it's
always the goalie who lets in the losing goal. Miller was the Olympic MVP, gained HUGE big game experience, and has a whole new respect in North America and around the world....Once the sting wears off, he will be better off for the experience.

And I was born in 1987, so I can't comment on seeing anything before then
:-)
but for most Canadian's of that generation the 1972 summit series stands out as featuring the best hockey of that era
:-)
I know my generation will remember this game just as fondly.
