The first US pair that went stayed up with just 2 wobbles. The problem was they were 10th after the first round so that really hurt them.

Boy the Olympic coverage on NBC really sucks. Way too much time spent on "color" stories. Who gives a crap about polar bears in Churchill, probably 1500 miles from Vancouver? I mean at any other time it's an OK story, but during the Olympics? Jeesh!

I agree the story time is annoying but that is what they have to do to keep the non-sports viewers interested in the program.

Is curling on at noon?

I feel like they showed more coverage of the Summer Olympics and none of that was live. This coverage is so broken up and spotty its ridiculous. We watched the snow boarding seeding runs and there were two commercial breaks and a cartoon about dragons and snow boarding and then they showed one rider go and then back to more commercials. :-)

:-)

It's so painful, I stopped watching. It's hard to stay interested when in an hour segment you have MAYBE 15 minutes of actual coverage, 10 minutes of "in-depth analysis" :-), 15 minutes of fluff stories, and 20 minutes of :-) commercials.

Peter I give you the gold medal for correctly breaking down you 60 mins. :-)

All day we have gotten an extra 10 minutes per hour of local weather alerts with updates on snowy conditions outside and Snow Emergencies with school closings. Convienently they were mixed in during the actual coverage. :-)

Lucky! I think I'll be missing both hockey and curling, maybe I'll be able to catch a few minutes.

It's actually 2390 miles according to the gov't of Manitoba's fact page on Churchill :-)

Perhaps they got confused between the spirit bears (albino bear and gizzly bears) that are sacred to the First Nations of Coastal BC and polar bears? Katie Couric did after all tell all of American that Betty Fox was the mother of Michael J Fox and that Michael J Fox has cancer instead of Parkinsons during the Opening Ceremony :-)
