Looking back at some of these pics...seems that the camera makes the cigars look HUGE. Esspecially the ones I take in the truck. Must be the angle and closeness.

Thursday (4-30-09). I have never smoked a Padron before. I know...crazy huh? Well I will definitely be trying more. What a very complex and flavorful gar this thing was. This little box'd pressed stick has been sitting in my humi for a few weeks now. I bought it at a new B&M local to me (Club Habana), and I had asked the owner what his fave cigar was...he pointed me to this.
Padron, 1964 Anniversary Series

Wow! I tasted flavors in this thing that I have not had in any other cigar I have tried. I lit this thing up at around 8am on an empty belly. (I smoke cigarettes, so I never get buzzed) What a great cigar this was. It had a definite taste to it that I cannot put my finger on, but was definitely familiar to me...masquite maybe? One thing for sure is, it burned when nosed!, but I still could not resist doing it every other puff. :-)

Good to the last nub...

My after lunch cigar was less eventful than the morning smoke. Actually quite plain.

I did not have any cigars on Friday, but I did have a nice smoke yesterday. Not actually a "job site" smoke, but I did smoke it on the drive over to a friends house where I was meeting him to help with an AC change out as side work. Opus X Robusto. :-)

My wife just made a list of things for me to get at the grocery store, perhaps I need to detour and pick up a couple Padrons. I had planned on smoking a VSG later on after lunch while piddling around in the yard.

Cheers...

I will agree on the MCW and V.Both are very consistent performers.
The Whites I find similar to Ashton Cabinet.

I thought there might be a connection with the name, but the taste does not deserve the name. :-)

I really appreciate the replies I have recieved for this thread. Every job has its perks...I guess mine is working outdoors and being able to enjoy smoking whenever I please. I sure woulf like the perks that cops have though. :-)

Keep these coming. I'd love to be able to smoke that much at work, but I'm living the dream through you. :-)

I know I have fallen behind on my daily job site smokes. I have been sick for about a week and have not smoked many because of it, but I have about 5 days worth of sticks to catch up on. Will post up asap.

I was eager for this day because I had planned to have a double Ashton day the night before. I had never smoked either one of these sticks before but had high hopes because I have smoked quite a few ESG's (which is in my top 3 smokes).

My morning smoke was this Ashton...I have no clue what it is other than it looked tasty...and tasty it was, but unfortunitly it fell short of what I was expecting from the brand.

The after lunch smoke was another from Ashton that I have read alot about, and noticed that alot of people put this smoke in their top 5 list. Well, it hardly makes my top 5 list, i might put it into the top 15, but defitely not my top 5. It had a perfect draw, with tons of smoke that tasted very nice while nosed. Ashton VSG Man this sure is a purty cigar.

After the 64 I had a couple weeks back, and reading about this bad boy...I knew today was going to be nice. And it sure was! My day started off by the hot air ballons welcoming me in the morning by doing a fly over. This red one is actually one of the locals that advertises rides. My cousin was also up and about this morning...as they are every week.

Todays smoke...Padron Anni, 1926. Absolutely wonderful. Just think I had never tried a Padron before recently with the 1964 Anni. These two gars are now in my top 5 list and I can see why they are in many other's as well. These guys have the best draw I have ever had from a cigar, and the amout of smoke you can draw from one is unbelievable. Much more mellower than its 64 brother, and very easily nosed. My advice for anyone saving one of these for a special day would be to find a reason to name a a day special and get to it.

I only had one stick today after lunch, and I am glad it was this one.

Todays morning cigar was one I also had recently (bowling pin shape) but I had enjoyed that one so much I decided to try its bigger brother out.
Punch, Rare Corojo This darn thing should have been called the Virgin corojo because this baby was tight. I thought I was going to pass out trying to draw from it. I kept cutting the tip shorter and shorter, and even ended up using a buddy's pipe tool to bore a hole into it to try and get some air flow. Had the draw been better I am sure I would have enjoyed it, but unfortunity I did not enjoy it.

I always pack a selection of dif cigars for work, so after almost passing out in the moring from the Punch, I decided to fall back to one of my trusted friends that never lets me down. Yes I just had one recenly in this thread...but oh well.

Oliva V Great performer for the budget price, with lots of flavor to boot.

Wednesdays are always busy with the big wigs showing up to look over the site, so I decided to have this gar to make it a smooth day.
OpusX, Reserva D' Chateau. Not much to say about these, except they are more of what their little brothers are. Smooth, mucho flavorful, and strong. By the time you get into the back end of these the flavor gets stronger and the finish is very long.

Thursday 5-7-09, I started to feel like crap. By Friday I had fallen into a full blown sinus infection and visted my doctor. I fricking hate sinus infections and have them way too often. I had surgery a few years ago to try and fix the suckers, but it only lasted just under a year. They should have fixed my deviated septum while they were in there...it might have helped.

After getting some strong antibiotics into my system and feeling somewhat better a few days later I really wanted to smoke a cigar but did not want to waste a money gar on a sinus infection...so I decided to smoke a recent purchase of my very mild go to cigar. La Fontana (they only run about $4 a stick).

Well, someone was looking over me and did not approve at all at smoking while sick. Right after I tasted the sweetness of the sweet gum tip after toasting...the damn thing nearly exploaded and unrolled itself. Way too dry! Oh well.
