Yea... A good one is invaluable. I used to throw the stats into the computer and generate graphs. It made it more fun for the guys too.

First game of the season rained out tonight. Guess I gotta wait a week to get back into the swing of things.

Sorry to hear it. Have you been to the batting cages? That helps get the rust of the old swing. Unless your swing is all rust, like mine!
:-)
We had great weather here and won our game tonight!

Good job.
I didn't do as well as I should have on Tuesday. I was trying to hard to hit to right field. The pitcher for the other team, it was her first time pitching and I didn't want to get walked so I swung at garbage... 1 for 4, 2 ROE, RBI and Run.
Season Stats updated.
Sunday(3 games played)- 8/11, 9 runs, 7 RBI, 4 Singles, 3 Triples, 1 HR(in the park), 1 Reach On Error .727/.727/1.545 (BA/OBP/SlugPer)
Tuesday(2 game played)- 4/9, 4 runs, 3 RBI, 3 Singles, 1 HR(in the park), 3 Reach On Error, 1 Fielders Choice .444/.444/.778 (BA/OBP/SlugPer)

Played Friday night and got the W. The final score was 28-5. We let them get some runs by putting in a different pitcher.
Tried to play our double header yesterday but the stupid lightening warning box went off once. The ump would not let the games go on.

Had our 3rd game of the season for our mens league last night. Good squad we got going. I did good in the field, horrible at bat. We are 3-0 right now.
Coed tonight, I have been doing decent all around there. Again, good squad here. 2-0 as of now.

My town hosts the 44hour softball tournament each year, and it can be quite a lot of fun. I pitch in co-Ed and usually get drafted into a 44hour team. My wife was my catcher, but we haven't had much of a chance to play since our kid was born!

The summer softball season is done for me. I was on three leagues this year. Ended with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish. Now onto fall ball next week.

We are 3 weeks into fall ball right now. Mens team and coed team, we are 3-0.
Summer, I was on two coed teams. One of them we took 1st, the other was 2nd.

It's not far from where you're located. Have you ever been?

I have not.. I would love to try it. Where is it held?

You can Google it, and it is held every year in Winnemucca NV, which is pretty far north in NV.

There are teams from all over NV,ID, and some I'm sure from OR. It is a double elimination tourney, your team keeps playing until you lose two games. In the slack time people hangout in their campers which take up most of the parking lots, drinking and pitching bean bags! I'm pretty lame though, I normally just go home and sleep if I have a few hours between games. Oh yea, the games go on for 44straight hours, so you might end up with a 2:00am game, or you might end up hungover playing in 90* heat. Needless to say if your team progresses, your quality of play will be severely compromised, so it can end up being a death march toward the end. Still good fun though!

Cleat caught on the bag as I was rounding first and went over on my ankle. Luckily didn't break any bones but still hurts like hell.
