Some years later, my moment of conversion was, I believe, a Romeo y Julieta (NC) during the cigar craze of the 1990s.

Some dog rocket that the local b & m owner's wife picked out for me. After she clipped and helped light the wretched thing, the owner commented that he'd not have picked that cigar - ever. If she didn't look like she could not ever possibly drown, I'd have tried to pick for myself! :-)
