That was more of a rub than a crash though.

I agree. No one crashed into each other.

Sucks for the drivers and teams. Especially for the haulers. They have to drive back to NC, then back out west in a matter of days. Two cross country trips round trip in two weeks.

Yeah, it is hard though for NASCAR to schedule b/c they only have so many tracks to schedule at this early in the year where it will be warm enough.

Not for the big teams, but for those who are struggling to survive week to week, like Jeremy Mayfield's team, I feel sorry for them. For the drivers I don't feel sorry at all. But for the haulers, that's a rough two weeks.

True, the little guys do have it rough. for the brickyard, I'll shell out nearly $300 for tix to the truck, nationwide and Cup races plus all the other goodies. Still hard to get too teary eyed for them. Multiple cars for different tracks, carrying complete garages in the haulers...didn;t have those problems 20 years ago.

The only track I want to go to is Bristol.

Amen. The good ol' days of NASCAR are long gone. The last remnants died with Earnhardt.

I have never been to a Nascar race. I have been in the parking lot of Dover and peeked in through the fence.

I have been to the Brickyard a couple times back in the late 90's/early 2000's. I really don't care for the track b/c you can only see in front of you. Kentucky is much better b/c you can see all the way around the track.

I went to many of the southern tracks when I was stationed in South Carolina. Best track was Bristol, most boring race was generally Daytona. Since then I have been to Poconos and New Hampshire. I do like the New Hampshire track since they fixed the pavement and made safety improvements.

Never been there, but I do like the New Hampshire races. It's not a cookie-cutter race track.
