The glock 20 is sweet. I have the S&W 1066 and it's a jewel. The 10mm is a stout round.

Well...all done. Scored 100% on the shooting proficiency test and missed one trick question on the written test. 8-6 is a LONG day, but I am glad it is over. Now...the new pistola search commences.

Good for you. Seems like an awful lot to go through. Living in the Commonwealth of Virginia does have it's benefits I guess. All I ever did years ago was fill out a form and pay my money.

I had to go to a 4 hour course in the evening, pass a test and then take the certificate to the courthouse with my notarized and filled out application and certain types of ID. Then I got fingerprinted and they got back to me in about a month.

It's amazing how different two counties that border each other can be.

Yeah..TX does not have a difficult process. It is just a long one. Turns out TX is very pro CHL. The rights are very much on the side of the carrier. Very glad I did it.

That is exactly my plan for my 21st coming up in a few months. First thing the morning of my 21st, I will be mailing in my application from New Orleans(where I will be spending my spring break, which falls directly on my 21st :-) ), then I will drink myself silly. lol

Maybe it was because of my prior military - I did submit a copy of my DD214. It was right after they passed the bill to allow it so it's been awhile.

I thought you were military, air force or something?

I had mine when I was stationed in Quantico, VA. Now that I'm in Cali the law varies by county and it's governed by them as well.

Yep, new VBob. Absolutely incredible pistol. Accuracy, reliability, feel, everything is beyond my expectations.

Damn I love those guns. I have handled one and was beyond impressed. Way too rich for my blood though.

You two shoulde look into Calguns.net and the CGF. They are making big changes in the way departments issue CCW. In California a lot of the requirements for a CCW are against the law. They are actually pushing for people from every county to contact them.
