Magic Number: 1!!!
Im not making any playoff predictions... but this Rangers team is one of the most complete teams I have seen. And, talk about getting hot at the right time...

Good win for Texas. It would have been tough going home down two. Yeah!!

2012 under way...first time through the rotation. 6-2. Here's my thoughts so far: Impressed with Lewis. Time will tell if he's better than last year.
Holland looks great, as does Harrison. Both matured and expecting good things for a long time to come.
Once Darvish got the rookie jitters out, he rocked it. Hope he's settled down now.
Feliz making a smooth transition.
And the BOOMSTICKS out again this year. Kinsler has 4 HRs in 8 games.
Let's hope they keep it up!!
I think 3rd time will be a charm.
Best thing is, Angels are in the cellar right now.

Sitting at 8-2. Watching our little Rangers play the twins, I was just waiting for them to come back in the eighth inning. No game feels out of reach.
The Angels will wake up. They will go on a run. They have some injury concerns, but the injury bug will hit the Rangers too. This should be fun.

I agree. I think the AL West is going to be very closely watched by all this season, although it will basically be a 2 team race. I also think (hope) the young arms for the Rangers will just get better as the season progresses.
As far as injuries, the Rangers have enough good hitting depth that I don't think it will set them back too much.
Next year, the AL West gets the Astros. So the Mariners won't be at the bottom of the heap any longer.

Rangers look even better than they did last year. Anyone see Weaver singing along with the "Hit the Road, Jack" song as he walked off the field? Brilliant.

Another series win against the Houston Astros. Is it me or is every media outlet ramming the "silver boot" down our throat? Maybe we will next year, but today, I don't believe there is any shred of a rivalry existing between these two teams.

It would be more interesting of a rivalry if the astros were a little more competitive

Agreed, Tony.
Next year we will see a more competitive Astros Team, I believe. We will also start to see the building of a rivalry. Until then, they are just another team on the schedule that just happens to be from just down the road.

I hope you're right, I get worn out listening to the silver boot garb during the series

And... we're back.
Texas Rangers fans. Please enter the bunker, find your seat and please be calm in this time of injurious turmoil.
Focus on what you have been fortunate to receive from Robinson Chirinos, Martin Perez, Donnie Murphy, et.al.

Strap in, Rangers fans. Yu vs. King Felix tonight!
Of course, you may need to DVR this since we also have Mavs vs. Grizzlies playoff game 1 and also Stars vs. Ducks game 1.
What a sportsy sports night!

Another walkoff. That's the 4th of the year. That was one of the more polarizing games you will watch. Errors everywhere, poor at bats, timely hitting, fantastic pitching. Seems like the norm right now.
No idea why I put errant playoff info on Mavs in the last thread. Was trying to mention the game deciding the playoff position. Whatever.

Yu and the Rangers GRIND to a win last night. Props to them on a tough win against a really good team in the A's.
Really looking forward to Harrison getting back in the lineup this weekend. We get one back and I am hoping Shin Soo Choo is ok.
