In honor of Tom, I am boycotting mimes, spoken word artists, former Nixon cabinet members, Shasta cola, all baseball cars from 1983, time capsules, assless chaps, powdered mik, and wearing women's clothing. It's gonna be tough but Tom deserves our support.

Please don't boycott former Nixon cabinet members on my behalf, Scott....it's just too much to ask. Sincerely.

I just got caught up on all the replies to my original post. First, let me say thank you to everyone - whether you agree with me or not.

Secondly I have to admit that I like the direction the thread has taken therefore I have decided to introduce another boycott.

I'M BOYCOTTING SERIOUSNESS!!!

We should all laugh, drink what you want to drink and smoke the finest cigars you have on hand.!

Tom,

I already wrote it. It can't be undone. Therefore, it must be.

You don't have to boycott seriousness because that has never been on this web site in any way, shape, or form.

Spandex shorts should only be available after the buyer passes some sort of screening process. I know I'd never wear them now. :-)

I did wear spandex shorts for a while though. Of course that was in my younger, leaner days. I took a ballet class while in college. All my buddies laughed at me till I explained that I was the only male in the class - who do you think had to do all the lifts? :-)

Of course, after a couple of days I stopped wearing spandex shorts. :-)

Morning Mac,

I have been reading the responses over the past couple days and would like to tell you, you are not alone - I saw on CNN this morning that there is now a website www.boycottscotland .com that is promoting a general boycott of goods and services (including tourism).

I have to agree with MCS and the Admiral and the best course of action is to keep our perspective on this issue and humor is a pretty good way to do just that.

Having said that, I suggest we have gotten so PC over the past years that this type of thing happens - I doubt this would have happened during my grandfather's generation.

We forget sometimes that ours is a country at war.

Threadjack coming -

This will undoubtedly cause some copycat behavior, maybe Madoff can use this...

Back to your regulary scheduled programing.
