Nice comeback in the 11th to get the win. Masset looked decent for a change.

I thought he was back in the 4 spot today, but I agree, he is a better hitter in the 2 spot. Media is going crazy on his lack of hustle yesterday. BP is my favorite player but he's gotta wake up and quit showboating.

I listened to the game today at work. The Cowboy Jeff Brantley got so damn excited when he hit the HR in the 11th. The Cowboy is awesome to listen to.
Reds Win! Reds Win!

Hell, that was a WELL hit ball. I probably would have left the box like that too. Oh well, I think Dusty can be a little dramatic at times too.
Edit: he was in the 4 spot today. I'm with you Andy I like him better in the 2 hole.

Dusty and John Fay. Fay (of the Cincy Enquirer) seems to have it out for BP this year ever since BP snubbed him during spring training. Fay doesn't know how to take a joke.

Nice to see the graphic at the start of the game today showing that the Reds have the worst leadoff hitters in the MLB. Stubbs et al. are batting a combined .149 in the leadoff spot.
:-)
Also nice to see Homer reaffirming my assertion that his ass should be back in Louisville.

Final line for Homer : 4 IP, 7 ER, 5 Hits, 5 Walks, 3 Strikeouts.
Looks to be on his way to 0'fer the season thus far. Send his ass back to Louisville.
:-)
Nice debut by the rookie Castro tonight. HR and a triple 6 RBI's already.

You think they'll put BP in the leadoff spot?

It sounded in the interview with the GM that they have no idea who to put there, no one in Triple A and no one to trade for. The have Cabrera there tonight and he is 1 for 3 so he is beating the average.

Not everyone, just (in order of priority) Stubbs, Bailey and Bruce. Stubbs has a lower BA than 3 of their pitchers and has started 27 of 29 games. Bailey has shown one quality start in 7 and didn't even win that one and Bruce, finally decided he wants to play baseball but I am still cautious of him.

Stubbs ranks 15th (yes 15th) on the team in BA and is still an everyday player. Assuming there are 8 positions that should have decent BA's he is batting like the 7th best pinch hitter but he batted leadoff for too many games and is still in the 7 spot. He doesn't play great defense and gets on base about 1 out of 5 chances. Why is he an everyday player?
