Well I e-filed my Form 1 last night with the ATF to make my SBR. Looks like the waits are running about 40 days.

the stamp is 200.
i got one of those online trusts made and that ran me about 80. with a trust u can efile the form 1 with a wait of about 1.5 months. without one, you have to file a paper one which is taking about 6-8 months

and bam. picked up 11 used fully functional usgi mags for 50

Ouch! $80 is definitely worth saving 6 months. It should all be electronic now. Stupid government.

Side rant....I just got my Georgia Firearm License. My Texas prints were sent electronically to NCIC. Why the hell did I have to do that again?

State probably keeps their own data base.

Doesn't the stamp go with the upper?

no. the stamp is for the lower which is the serialized part of the gun. to have a short barreled upper on an ar15 rifle lower you need a stamp. but u can have a short barrel on a lower without a stock and it's a pistol as long as the lower is virgin and has never been assembled with a stock and rifle upper. clear as mud huh?

the upper is fine to own without a ststamp as long as you dont have an ar15 rifle lower.

fyi, this is a pistol as the lower has never been a rifle and i possess no stock
