Just finished 'when nothing else matters' which was a look into Michael Jordan's final 2 years playing basketball with the Washington Wizards. Great book if you are a fan of the game and grew up watching Mike on the hardcourt.
Just started reading 'The Lost Symbol' by Dan Brown. So far, so good.

whats your thesis going to be on? I am a huge Civil War buff and did my senior thesis on James Longstreet and his actions at the Battle of Gettysburg.

Interesting tid-bit: Eric Maria's real last name was Kramer, he reversed it to get Remarque!

The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer - It is a memoir of a soldier in the German army during WWII. When you get past the fact of which side he is on, it is a really gripping account.

Finished Cross Country by Patterson. Started Time Quake by Vonnegut, but wasn't really in the mood for it so moved on to Naming of the Dead by Ian Rankin.
